A summer school in systems medicine took place in August 2017. For one week, 25 young researchers stayed on an idyllic island in the Chiemsee lake in Bavaria together with leaders in the fields of systems genetics and neurodegeneration. This provided a unique opportunity to work closely with the experts, meet new people in the field and learn key skills for taking laboratory research into the ‘information age’ of post-genome biology and medicine.

While this Summer School is now over, we encourage interested researchers to join in the project through our associated initiatives:

We are also hosting a Research Topic at Frontiers in Neurogenomics in order to bring the discussion to the wider community. This is now open for submissions from anyone conducting research in neurodegenerative disease using public data. For more information, please visit the Research Topic page.

if you are interested in this field and/or would perhaps like to participate in a future Summer School, then please visit our Facebook page to keep updated and connect with other researchers.
